Twitter Tips & Tricks

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to dive into some Twitter marketing tips and tricks with you…

…I hope you find them helpful!

If you’ve been around on the Internet and using social media figuring out how to use Twitter is easy enough.

While it may be more challenging than you might expect to type out status updates in 140 characters or less, it’s certainly not rocket science. With a little practice, anyone can become an expert “tweeter.”

Savvy Twitter marketing is a little more complicated than just understanding you only have 140 characters to share your message. You’ve got to show your followers that you’re an expert in your field, and you only have 140 characters in which to do this. That’s not even words; it’s only characters.

Making this an effective marketing technique may seem unfeasible, but remember that, while your character count may be limited, the amount of tweets is unlimited. By using this to your advantage, you can build an effective marketing campaign, 140 characters at a time.

First, consider your target market. Decide who you want to reach with this Twitter marketing campaign. Don’t make the mistake of discounting a demographic in a higher age bracket. Just about everyone is on Twitter these days, and every age group is represented on the site.

Once you know who you want to reach on Twitter, think about what someone in this demographic would find interesting about your business. You might want to consider following a few people in your target demographic and keeping track of the tweets that they re-tweet. This will give you a good idea of the sorts of tweets that attract their attention.

You want to cater to your target audience, but you also want to provide vital information about your business and your industry. After all, that’s the point of marketing, and Twitter marketing is no exception.

In order to keep your tweets fun and interesting, try to play with the way they’re worded. Obviously, you have to pare your information down to 140 characters, but think about how you can present that information in an interesting or entertaining way. This will increase the likelihood that your tweets will be re-tweeted and take on a life of their own in the Twittersphere.

It may be a challenge to keep your information bites down to the character limit, but it can be fun, too. And that’s really the best way to keep your tweets entertaining.

If you’re having fun with Twitter, chances are that it’ll come through in your tweets and people will want to see what it is you’re so excited about.

By keeping one eye on your Twitter marketing plan and the other on perpetuating the fun atmosphere of Twitter, you’re sure to build a good following in no time.

I hope you found some value in this information!

Wishing you the best,
