Danger And Horror Lurk In Every Shadow!

The Horror!

The Horror!

Hey, I hope you enjoy my attempt to link the imaginary perils of Halloween to current times…

The approach of Fall and the looming Halloween season lends itself to comparing the current business environment to vampires, thick fog, zombies and unforeseen axe-wielding horrors that lie in wait to drain our blood (livelihood) and leave us for dead in a secluded corner of a dark cornfield.

Small business owners and independent professional, with real responsibilities, are living in fear of current economic circumstances.  They are concerned with how the current environment could impact the long term validity of their businesses, careers and family solvency.

At certain times we are reminded that our clients can stop buying, our competitors are conniving to steal our customers, unnecessary spending can become stagnant and when the creek runs dry the crawdads, without a puddle, shrivel and die.

The reality of self-evident truth gives us all an opportunity to do one of two things.  We can wrap ourselves in our blankets, sleep with the lights on and be haunted by the incomplete critical things we should be doing to expand our positions or we can take action to spread seeds on fertile soil (A little Jim Rohn lingo).  We can decide to grow or wither away and become a statistic.
